Being fully prepared for the Bar exam is one of the fundamental requirements of a career in law. As part of that imperative, Miami Law's Academic Achievement Program is launching Bar Week, a series of events from March 1 to March 7 that will cover everything from what students need to do between now and taking the Bar and how to remain focused, healthy, and positive.

Students will learn how to write the perfect essay, the best way to tackle the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination, and the pitfalls to avoid in Character and Fitness applications and hearings. Members of the Financial Aid staff will give advice on paying for the Bar and there will be pointers on how to become a certified legal intern.

Dean Patricia D. White will address some crucial concerns in a mandatory chat with third-year students, and other sessions will be led by William P. VanderWyden III, Assistant Dean for Professional Development; Scott L. Rogers, Lecturer in Law and Director of the Mindfulness and Law Program; Janet Stearns, Dean of Students and Lecturer in Law; Douglas K. Bischoff, Associate Dean for Adjunct Faculty; and Chad Noreuil, a Clinical Professor of Law at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and author of The Zen of Passing the Bar Exam.
