The Public Interest Leadership Board (PILB) is a student-run leadership board comprised of a dynamic group of Miami Law students dedicated to public service, including but not limited to HOPE Fellows, summer public interest students, project leaders and Miami Scholars. PILB members design and implement a wide variety of public interest programs and serve as the center-point of HOPE activities for the law school.
Miami Law students have compiled a list of social justice-related movies and books designed to engage and promote awareness. Click here.
PILB provides an opportunity for students with a pro bono ethic to explore important public interest matters at Miami Law and in the community. Public interest is not an issue for a select group of law students—it is part of our campus-wide mission. PILB is engaged in promoting activities and advocacy opportunities designed to spread the word and elicit participation from all types of soon-to-be lawyers.- Anna Vino, JD '15
