The priority deadline for receipt of financial aid application materials is March 1. Loans will be processed after that date, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The application materials required are:

  • The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA. Submit after January 1 to the Federal Student Aid Programs via www.fafsa.gov.

The following documents do not have a March 1 deadline. However, it is necessary to submit them in a timely manner for completion of your file. You may refer to the "Understanding Your Award" page for more information on instructions to complete the processes online to secure the estimated federal loans that are included in your award letter.

Note: Reapplication Required

Students must reapply for financial aid every year. If you submitted a prior year Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and received at least one valid Student Aid Report (SAR) you may complete a Renewal FAFSA. If you did not, you must complete the 2012-2013 FAFSA. Either one of these two forms will be available after January 1, and should be completed as soon as possible. The University of Miami School of Law's federal school code is E00532.
