José Sariego is an international corporate and entertainment lawyer with more than 25 years experience with outside law firms and as in-house general counsel. Mr. Sariego currently a partner in Bilzin Sumberg's Corporate Group and was previously Senior Vice President – Business & Legal Affairs for Telemundo Media, a division of NBCUniversal, which includes the Telemundo Network, a Spanish-language broadcast television network; mun2, a Spanish-language pay television channel; Telemundo Digital Media, which delivers Telemundo content across multiple digital platforms; and Telemundo International, the second largest provider of Spanish-language programming worldwide.

Prior to Telemundo, Sariego was Senior Vice President - Business & Legal Affairs and Secretary for HBO Latin America, an international programmer and distributor of premium and basic pay television channels throughout Latin America, Brazil and the Caribbean.

Mr. Sariego was Senior Vice President – General Counsel and Secretary of MasTec, Inc., a publicly traded international telecommunications contractor, for more than seven years. He was a partner at the international law firm Kelley Drye & Warren for four years, and an associate with Kelley Drye & Warren and the international Chicago law firm of Jenner & Block for nine years.

Mr. Sariego was a professional journalist with The Miami Herald prior to becoming a lawyer. He received a B.S. in Journalism, Political Science and Latin American studies from the University of Florida and his J.D., cum laude from the University of Michigan. At Miami Law, he teaches a short course on Media & Entertainment Law in the Digital Age.
