Fady Zeidan is Deputy General Counsel in the Legal Department of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington, D.C. Since joining the department as Counsel in 1995 he has advised on legal aspects of structuring, negotiating, and documenting debt and equity investments in IFC projects in various sectors and emerging markets in the regions of IFC operations. He has held various positions in the Legal Department, most recently as Senior Manager managing a team of legal staff providing legal support for sectors such as Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Agribusiness, Health and Education, and Climate Finance.

Prior to joining IFC, Zeidan served as Legal Counsel with the International Monetary Fund, in Washington D.C. advising on legal and policy issues arising from the conduct of the Fund's operations.

Before joining the IMF, Zeidan was a practicing attorney in Lebanon with the firm of Fouad Boutros and Partners and later with Freshfields in Paris and New York where he focused on commercial transactions.

He holds a Masters of Laws (LL.M.), from Harvard Law School; a Diplome D’Etudes Approfondies (DEA) from the Université de Paris II; and a Licence en Droit from the Université Saint Joseph (Lebanon)

He is fluent in Arabic, French and English. At Miami Law he teaches “International Debt Workouts.”
