Professor Michael H. Graham, a magna cum laude graduate of Columbia Law School, is one of the nation's leading evidence professors and commentators. He has written 16 evidence books for students and practitioners including Evidence, A Problem, Lecture and Discussion Approach (Third Edition); Federal Rules of Evidence Nutshell (Eighth Edition); Evidence Exam Pro—Objective and Essay (Fourth and Second Edition); The Handbook of Federal Evidence, Seventh Edition (8 volumes, over 7,000 pages); and The Handbook of Illinois Evidence, Tenth Edition (over 1,250 pages), along with over 125 law review articles on the topic of evidence.

Professor Graham is currently Special Advisor to the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Rules of Evidence having previously served as Reporter on the Committee that drafted Rules of Evidence for the United States Department of Labor. He has taught a 4-credit Evidence course roughly 60 times and is the Director of Miami Law's Study Abroad program.

Prior to working at Miami Law, Professor Graham was law clerk to Judge Inzer B. Wyatt of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and served as a Reginald Heber Smith Community Lawyer Fellow with the Western Center on Law and Poverty.

Thereafter he also received a master's degree in criminology from Cambridge University in 1969 and a Fulbright Fellowship in 1981 to conduct research on the English criminal trial system.

After four years of private practice, he joined the University of Illinois law school faculty in 1974. In 1984, he joined the faculty at the University of Miami School of Law.
