Each year, the University of Miami School of Law conducts a series of continuing legal education (CLE) programs designed to enhance the practicing Bar's professional skills and accomplishments. All CLE courses are aimed at satisfying the current and endlessly challenging information and training needs of today's Bar, and are part of an educational continuum which begins in law school and continues throughout a lawyer's professional career.
The Law School recognizes that it serves many constituencies in presenting CLE programs. As a result, our efforts include courses with a national audience and scope as well as those with a Florida focus. We are committed to satisfying the continuing educational needs of our alumni, wherever they may be located. For this reason, we offer alumni discounts on registration fees.
The Florida Bar requires that each attorney earn a total of thirty (30) CLE credit hours during each three (3) year reporting cycle, five (5) hours of which must be in legal ethics, professionalism or substance abuse. Some of these credit hours may be satisfied by self-study with approved CLE materials.
As a special service, we offer approved CLE materials for purchase to help busy attorneys satisfy their continuing education requirements.
