Patricia Brown - Director, Graduate LLM Program in Taxation
Patricia Brown is an internationally-recognized expert in the field of international taxation, with specialties in tax treaty policy and the international taxation of financial products and institutions. Professor Brown will be available to discuss the latest developments in our LL.M. in Taxation including our new LLM in Taxation of Cross-Border Investment
Harold Flegelman - Director, Graduate LLM Program in Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law
Harold A. Flegelman joined Miami Law from the Los Angeles office of Loeb & Loeb LLP, where he was a partner in the Corporate Department and Co-Chair of the Corporate Media and Entertainment Practice Group. Professor Flegelman will be available to discuss our new LL.M. in Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law.
Sandra Friedrich - Director, White & Case International Arbitration LL.M. Program
Before joining Miami Law Sandra Friedrich practiced law at Latham & Watkins in New York, focusing on complex commercial and investment arbitration proceedings as well as related litigation. Prior to this Professor Friedrich taught courses on International Business Transactions, European Union Law and German Law at the University of Miami School of Law.
Raquel Matas - Director, Robert Traurig-Greenberg Traurig LL.M. in Real Property Development
Raquel M. Matas is the Associate Dean for Administration and Lecturer in Law. Previously, she was a partner in the law firms of Ferrell Worldwide and Carlton Fields, where she practiced commercial real estate law and business transactions. Ileana Porras, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and teaches in the fields of international law, (including sustainable development, international environmental law, and trade and environment) and property law.
Carmen Perez-Llorca - Director, International Graduate Law Programs (International Law LL.M., Maritime Law LL.M., and LL.M. + Intensive Legal English Programs)
Carmen Perez-Llorca has had a long career in public service, both as an elected representative in the Madrid parliament an das the undersecretary of education in the Madrid regional government. She obtained her LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania and practiced law in the U.S. at Dewey Ballantine, Kennedy Covington and in Spain at Allen & Overy.
Tina Portuondo - Director of the Heckerling Graduate Program in Estate Planning
Tina Portuondo is also Director of Miami Law’s Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, the immediate past chair of the ABA's Section of Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law (RPTE), and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). She will be available to discuss our LL.M. in Estate Planning.
