Ask a Librarian is the e-mail reference service provided by the University of Miami Law Library. It is only available to law faculty, staff and students. If you need immediate service, please call the Law Library Reference Desk at 305-284-3585.

This service is designed to answer brief reference questions, suggest research strategies, help in locating library materials, and provide referrals to appropriate resources. When submitting your question, please state it as clearly as possible so that we can adequately meet your information need.

The e-mail address is library@law.miami.edu. E-mail service is available while the reference desk is open although it may take 24 hours to receive a response. Library Hours

Chat or Instant Message

Not fast enough, the law library also offers Live or Chat reference services. On Google Chat under library@law.miami.edu, or on AOL and Yahoo under the name umiamilawlib. Instant Reference is available while the reference desk is open. Library Hours
