The Career Development Office (CDO) welcomes employers to recruit students and alumni for school year, summer and post-graduate positions. The CDO utilizes a variety of services in order to assist employers in meeting their recruiting needs.
Each fall and spring, the CDO welcomes employers to campus as part of its On Campus Interview (OCI) Program. As participants in the OCI program, employers have an opportunity to interview students for summer and post-graduation positions. In conjunction with our OCI program, the CDO sponsors the Résumé Referral program. This program provides employers unable to interview on campus with an opportunity to receive applications from University of Miami School of Law students and proceed with the interviewing process at their convenience. Employers may elect to receive applications directly from students or via a collection conducted by the Career Development Office.
If you are seeking to fill your summer, part-time, entry-level or lateral employment needs, we encourage you to submit a job listing on our web-based job posting system, Symplicity. This service is free for employers. You may create your own Symplicity account which will enable you to post your available positions or you may send the information to our office for posting.
The Miami Law Externship Program places second year (2L), third year (3L) and LL.M. students in a direct working relationship with local, national, and international corporations, government agencies, public interest organizations and the judiciary for academic credit. Students gain practical legal experience by working under a lawyer's supervision. Externs may work during the fall, spring and summer.
